Manual and cumbersome ways of determining circularity can introduce errors not only in the calculations themselves but also in the auditability and backtracking of the circular content in the finished product. These inaccuracies, in return, can introduce mistakes with onsite audits and miscalculations in buyer certifications. Technology can help expedite the process of determining circularity while providing better accuracy.

You can also type a keyword to search online for the video that best fits your document. To make your document look professionally produced, Word provides header, footer, cover page, and text box designs that complement each other. For example, you can add a matching cover page, header, and sidebar. Click Insert and then choose the elements you want from the different galleries. Themes and styles also help keep your document coordinated. When you click Design and choose a new Theme, the pictures, charts, and SmartArt graphics change to match your new theme. When you apply styles, your headings change to match the new theme. Save time in Word with new buttons that show up where you need them.
To change the way a picture fits in your document, click it and a button for layout options appears next to it. When you work on a table, click where you want to add a row or a column, and then click the plus sign. Reading is easier, too, in the new Reading view. You can collapse parts of the document and focus on the text you want. If you need to stop reading before you reach the end, Word remembers where you left off - even on another device. Video provides a powerful way to help you prove your point. When you click Online Video, you can paste in the embed code for the video you want to add. You can also type a keyword to search online for the video that best fits your document.

Viva also provided personalized document/resource access and intelligent search capabilities, further expediting access to relevant information. By incorporating Viva on top of the existing mobile access, the EY team facilitated collaborative work processes.

The result:

By implementing Viva applications tailored to the client's requirements, the EY team significantly increased efficiencies across the organization. The introduction of tech-driven innovations established a user-focused and user-friendly environment, leading to rapid adoption of the technology. As a result, the workforce was empowered to complete tasks more efficiently, reducing frustrations and enhancing customer service.

The challenge:

Verifying employment status and credentials for new recruits and suppliers on LinkedIn posed a significant challenge. Many profiles contained self-reported and even fraudulent information, leaving HR and Identity and Access Management teams to manually verify employment resulting in increased costs, screening time and onboarding delays.

The breakthrough:

MKC developed a unique solution that combines the trusted-empowering technology of Microsoft Entra Verified ID with an identity fabric created by identity orchestration. By establishing an orchestration-based integration with LinkedIn, they created an Entra Verified ID process that significantly streamlined the validation of both employment candidates and suppliers. This solution not only met EY verification requirements but also utilized an innovative identity fabric technology for orchestrating the process, which allows for the solution to expediently onboard other enterprises or include any verification requirements.

While some companies may have the capacity to handle development internally, the EY solution offers significant reductions in deployment lead time through its flexible orchestration and interoperable processing. This extends beyond a direct integration between LinkedIn and Entra Verified ID, representing a sustainable, advanced solution that sets a new standard in the field.

The result:

Through building our NextGen trusted identity solution as part of LinkedIn’s select pilot program, EY teams helped enable a streamlined HR onboarding processes by significantly reducing the time needed to verify employment and the authenticity of credentials.

Organizations utilizing verified credentials can automatically verify the authenticity and source of credentials on candidates’ LinkedIn profiles. This integration simplifies the verification process, fostering trust in connections, helping to enable more meaningful interactions.

Building on the pilot’s success, EY teams are now working with clients across multiple industries on sector-specific solutions and have deployed multiple verifiable credential solutions. One solution focuses on streamlining the medical credentialing process and improving patient and provider journeys within the health sector while another aims to help optimize repeatable identity proofing processes in the financial services sector to help enable transactions with the highest level of confidence with the push of a button.

The manufacturing leader tapped the EY team to help reboot their approach to operations and fast track an even brighter future.

The breakthrough:

The implemented improvements to date have already yielded significant time savings of 20% to 30%, enabling the rationalization of the company’s entire global plant footprint. To spearhead this joint initiative, an EY product manager and architect were assigned, bringing their expertise and managerial skills to bear on the tasks at hand. Critical to the success of this collaboration was conducting scenario and root cause analysis, which allowed us to better understand the variables influencing the product and enabled us to devise more targeted strategies. Furthermore, as part of our innovative approach, we employed Microsoft Azure to test the proof of concept for product formulation changes. This allowed us to simulate and evaluate potential changes without overcommitting resources, ensuring that the chosen strategy was validated before implementation.

The result:

The recent improvements implemented have generated notable efficiency, delivering time savings of 20%-30%. This has revolutionized the company's global plant operations while also providing human resources advantages. With Azure's capabilities and EY's process guidance, data scientists have taken on roles previously reserved for dedicated data and ML engineers, further contributing to productivity. These enhancements have expedited the realization of the company's digital strategy, setting a pace for future triumphs. Projected savings due to these changes are estimated at $50 million across their worldwide operations. Moreover, the EY team’s successful initial phase led to our engagement in an additional project aimed at improving manufacturing quality, utilizing AI and physics data sets for significant outcome improvements such as 50% time reduction in achieving optimal manufacturing material mix and color specifications. Currently, the program is being expanded using Azure's ML ops for full-scale data management. Plans to replicate this success in other plants are progressing.
